The Way of the Celtic Shaman is ancient and rooted deeply in tradition. This Way allows us to walk between worlds, recognising the interconnectedness between all living forces both seen and unseen. Journeying into these worlds for healing, for answers, for visions, brings a sense of continuity, wholeness and integration for self and for the clan.
Amantha offers introductory workshops, training in specific topics, and multi-year apprenticeships. The Way of the Seabhean™ is nurturing the Spirit, feeding the Soul and creating in love and in joy, through the womb/chalice/container, sacredness and resonance with the Earth’s longing. It is allowing ourselves to be all we are meant to be in the wholeness of our multifaceted Feminine Being.
These teachings are not just a set of tools but a way to develop your own tools – to grow to offer your assistance to others so that they too can find a way withing themselves.

Women’s Academy of Irish Shamanism

By the end of the training you will be ready to use many of these tools in your life and your work.
It will help you:
- Bring balance to your Weave & bring balance to those around you as well as to the Great Weave of Our Mother Earth.
- Keep your body in balance through your daily practice, residing in the place of witness rather than being reactive.
- Recognise what is feeding and supporting you and what is taking from you, owning what belongs to you and what belongs to others.
- Know what patterns you carry and see yourself in the mirror with deep compassion and objectivity.
- Embrace and integrate your Shadow side, enabling you to be more authentic and true to yourself.
- Understand the ‘other lives’ of you and be open to integrating those lives while releasing any unhealthy aspects.
- Have confidence in Cutting the Ties and doing Soul Retrieval for yourself and others.
- Work with the Celtic Wheel and be able to Journey to the 3 worlds for answers.
- Work with Rituals, Ceremonies and Rites of Passage for yourselves and with or for others.
- Become a Soul Midwife as part of the living fabric of Midwifing the Earth.
Note from Amantha
As we go into the training, we will work on any difficulties – emotional, physical, ancestral (ties that bind) – being held and carried, as it is important to recognise that anything you are carrying, especially that which is unbeknownst to you is reflected in your journeys, either the journeys for yourself or the journeys for others.
Any such clearings will benefit the clarity and depth of your work, allowing you the opportunity to move more freely amidst the worlds.
You don’t have to clear all you have chosen to carry, soul-wise, consciously or unconsciously, yet it does assist you considerably, to recognise what you do carry as you journey.
Knowing yourself is always powerful, and kindness to oneself is a gifted acknowledgment of our chosen soul contracts – with others and with self/Self.
What You Will Learn
In the training we will be:
- Holding and assisting the balance of the Weave of our great Mother Earth.
- Clearing ancestral patterns and healing the line of our foremothers.
- Connecting with our pre-Celtic Goddess archetypes, while being able to walk and use the Celtic wheel in our lives.
- Connecting with our totems, allies, elementals and Angelics.
- Journeying betwixt and between for answers, for information, plus Cutting the Ties, and assisting with Soul Retrieval for both self and others.
- Balancing our chakras and activating our light bodies.
- Connecting with the presence of ‘the Grandmothers’, the ‘keepers of the lore’.
- Owning our place and space of beauty, power, passion and grace.
- Being able to attract and create our reality with harm to none, while recognising what we choose to leave for our daughters, our nieces, for all womyn yet to be.
- Bringing forth our own unique medicine to bring us into the essence of Self, which gifts us our tools, to assist others upon their journeys.
- Living in the space of response to what is necessary rather than reaction.
- Ability to recognise, through our soul contracts, those who assist us in awakening to our teachings.
- Walking in balance with all of life both seen and unseen, around us.
‘The chaos that is all around us is pushing on every level, to break down structures that no longer support the enhancement of humanity and the unfolding of consciousness within the individual.
Breaking through this, we need to hold to the presence of light, truth, and the realisation that we can bring forth all that is needed by our focus and intention as well as by our acts of beauty and clarity. We carry within us the seeds of tomorrow’.
